Jenny runs the Sedgefield Slow Town Community Kitchen providing more than 130 meals, three times a week. Helped by our community who donate towards this much-needed service and kitchen staff volunteers who deliver the food, Jenny does all the shopping on a weekly basis and also the accounting for the kitchen. |

Beattie has lived in Sedgefield for almost 30 years and has always been involved in the community. At almost 82, Beattie is still providing groceries for soup kitchens in Smutsville as she has done for many years, she still packs boxes of food for the needy, every Saturday afternoon. She has served on the Mobile Meals committee for number of years and is always seen popping in from one grocery store to the next to get the best possible price for what is needed. |

For service above and beyond the call of duty. Come rain or shine and sometimes even at great personal risk, Billy is a shining ambassador of customer service. He is always willing to assist and ensure that, to the extent that he can, that we remain plugged into the grid. |

| Mike Hofhuis |

Mike has served as the CPF Chairperson for the last 13 years and also heads up the Sedgefield Community Oriented Policing (COP), a unit that acts as a response team to incidents reported by Neighbourhood Watches where he also serves in various portfolios. Mike is also the local director of Lifeline. His volunteer work in the community is exemplary and he is always willing to put others first. |

An enthusiastic member of the Sedgefield COP and Neighbourhood Watch team and someone who certainly goes the extra mile in all which she voluntary does for the community’s safety and security.
She is well respected by many Groenvallei, Meedingsride and many other residents for her caring helpfulness and advice.
No security circumstance is too difficult for Juanita to tackle and being a member of COP makes others in the Neighbourhood Watch teams proud to work with her.
She has been involved in significant fund raising for the purchase and installation of security cameras as well as suggesting other ideas for projects that have enhanced the safety of several areas in Sedgefield. |

| Fire Marshall Benjamin Roberts |

Benito never hesitates to respond to a fire even when off duty. He is often first on the scene and clears the way for the rest of the crew to get there quickly. On more than one occasion, his effort has prevented serious damage and loss of lives. |

Born in Smutsville, Vemesia is a wife and a mom with four children, and has served in various community, charity and non-governmental organizations. She is highly respected in the Sedgefield community. Most recently she was involved in supporting the victims of the fire in Beverly Hills |
